Custom Woodworking Project #1
Stool
Assignment:
This assignment is designed to provide you with the chance to learn essential skills that will be required for your final culminating project. You will learn how to operate machinery safely, correct order of operations, how to select wood, how to glue-up panels and parts, proper joinery techniques and how to plan and design and calculate and cost material.
This project is going to take approximately 20 classes to complete. This will allow sufficient time to learn the theory behind what we are doing so you will have a solid footing and be able to make sound choices regarding your final project.
Remember “Application” is worth 70% of your final mark. This includes your daily participation, so don’t let me catch you goofing off! There is always something to do in Mr. Crossley’s class.
